Math 8L1 and 8L2- We have started module 7 on critiquing graphs and diagrams.   Students should be working on page 387. -A review sheet on grade 7 material needed for this unit was handed out.   This is material covered last year that students should remember how to do from last year.   These skills will be important to build on during this unit.   Extra help is available during student enhancement tomorrow if they need help remembering.   The first side (circle diagram) is due Friday, and the other side is due next Wednesday. Science 8L2  Students will have a quiz on the organelles of the cell.    We will review our first class tomorrow and test the second class.   Review sheet was given today to help them practice.  Science 8 We are starting our cell project.·         Students may work individually, in pairs, or in a small group. ·         They must show that they understand the key differences between a plant and animal cell.   They should pick one of the cell types (animale ou végitale) and name and describe the functions of the organelles.  ·          Students may create a video, song, model with presentation…….  ·           Groups will conference with me this week to create a rubric of how they will be marked. Each group will have a rubric tailored to their method of presenting the material.   I will post these online for parents to see as they are created.·          Some groups will choose to present next week before the break, while others will choose to present the following week. This project is a great way for students to show what they know in a way that means something to them.
