Homework May 12th

Math 7L1 and 7L2-study mental math-Students need a calculator and math set for class tomorrow. Science 8E1 and 8E2-We experienced the peer review process today. -Students were given back lab reports and assignments to have signed.-Students will get there test back tomorrow. Science 7L-Unit test will be Thursday (7L1) and Friday (7L2) of this week.-Students made a study guide last class and they should be reviewing each night.

Homework May 9th

Math 7L-Test next class on circumference, and area-notes from today posted below. Sicence 7L2-test 1 week from today.-Today we took the time in class to identify the important material from the student text. We also had time to make a study guide along with time in class to review. Science 7L1-test next Thursday Science 8-We started our new unit on optics. notes below

Homework May 6th

Reminder to students and parents that due to time restraints, between now and the end of the year their will not be any re-writes. Students need to study in advance and do their best on all that they due. Math 7L1 and 7L2-Today re reviewed area of parellograms and started area of triangles. notes below Homework Q 5 and 7-A woorksheet due Friday was handed out. (2 sided). This will be marked in class friday as part of a review and will count as assignment marks.-Continue to review mental math twice a week. Sicence 7-Study triangle of states of matter change-notes taken on conduction, convection and radiation. Please complete notes if you missed parts of them in class. They are posted below. Science 8e1, 8e2 8L-Test on water systems unit next class.

Science 8EToday we reviewed our hydrology unit. Please review for quiz on Monday May 5th. See below file below for class slides. Science 8LPlease finish class handout on overfishing including the graph. Beside the graph, please write your predicted population for salmon in 2014. See notes below for class slides. Science 7No homework. Today the class wrote their test on the Heat Unit. Math 7L1 and 7L2-Tomorrow we will have a quiz on circumference, diameter and radius.-Today we reviewed three mental math stategies and reviewed for the test. Please see the attached class notes.-Continue to review Mental Math at home twice a week.

Homework April 28th 2014

Science 7-Heat quiz for 7L1 Tuesday (tomorrow) Science 8E-Today looked at a NASA satellite used to monior precipitation. Please finish this class handout- make sure each pro and con list for experiment 1 and 2 have 5 reasons each. We also looked at over-fishing and ways to avoid it. Science 8L-The class reviewed our hydrology unit. There will be a quiz on May 5th.

Homework April 25th

Science 7-Heat quiz Monday for 7L2 and Tuesday for 7L1. 7L1 please complete the Heat Capacity graph. Science 8-Today all Multi-media projects from all grade 8s should have been handed in. Math 7- No homework- today students wrote the algebra unit test.

Homework April 24th 2014

Math 7-Algebra Unit test tomorrow. Today we continued learning about pi and how this constant relates to the radius and diameter of a circle. Science 7- Today we studied for the Heat quiz and looked at thermal capacity. No homework. Science 8E- Today we did a fun experiment looking at how water runs across different terrains. We also began evaluating data collection techniques. No homework. Students who failed to pass in or discuss with me a new due date need to turn in their Multi-media Erosion project as soon as possible.
