Science 8L
-Today we reviewed our optics unit. A study guide was handed out and we reviewed good test taking and studying skills.
-Next class is a Lab on opticts (refraction).
-Test Thursday

-Today we reviewed our unit on the earth crust. Test this week. Students should be reviewing and organizing their notes at home.
Math 8L
-We corrected our rewiew assignment from sections 5.1 to 5.3.
-We learnt how to calculate taxes and rebates today.
-Homework is p. 260 Q 4 and 5.

We continued with science fair presentations today. Grade 8E1 and 8E2 students will loose points if they are not ready to present next class. Rubrics of how projects will be graded where handed out to classes today.
Health 8E1 8E2
-Sex education (health) test will be next Phys Ed class. Students may use there notes.

Today we started our presentations in science. It was fun to see all the information students had to share. We will continue with the presentations all week. The Red Team STEM fair will be Wednesday March 2nd from 10:30 to 11:45. Parents are invited to stop in and see all the cool projects.
Math 8E1
-Students learnt about percent increase and percent decrease today. Questions 5 and 6 from section 5.3 are for homework. Remember tomorrow is our day without class.

-Today we talked about how we are building on what we learnt last year. Students will use the same strategies but work with percents bigger then 100 and smaller then 1.
