Harkins Grade 7 Orange Team Science classes took a little trip Monday to visit the future site of the new K-8 Miramichi West School. Students were observing and recording the various aspects of the ecosystem and will be discussing the effects that new construction has on current ecosystems. On Thursday, September 25th, Harkins Middle School’s will have our 2014 Terry Fox Run/Walk Day! During the next 8 days, Harkins Middle School Teams and homerooms will be holding a variety of fundraising activities to support this annual event. Please help support the Terry Fox fundraising activities that will be held throughout the school. Through your fundraising contributions and participation in our Terry Fox Run Day, we can remember and support Canadians living with cancer. Thank you.
The Red Team will be having a PJ Bottom day on Wednesday, September 24th, to raise money for Terry Fox. For $1, you can wear your PJ bottoms all day long! Woot Woot!
As part of our fundraising for Terry Fox Day, the Orange Team will be having a hat day on Friday, Sept. 19th. Students who would like to wear their hat for the day are to bring $1 to their homeroom teacher on Friday. Thanks for supporting this great cause!
The Purple Team will host the annual Back to School social this Friday from 6-8:30pm. $5 a student. Canteen available. All school rules apply. Come out and dance up a storm with friends, care of DJ Drew Hunter. It's sure to be a blast!
There will be Cross Country Tuesday & Thursday this week from 3-3:45, with a district meet at Dr Losier on Wednesday at 4pm. Any HMS student may attend ANY of these Cross Country activities.
