As a follow-up reminder to the notice that went home a few weeks back:
The last day at HMS will be Wednesday, December 21st, 2016. Students will return to Max Aitken in the New Year on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017. This will give teachers and staff time to prepare and allow for a smooth transition to the new location.

On Thursday, October 20th Harkins Middle School participated in #SpiritDay, which is an internation movement to stand up to bullying and show support for LGBTQ youth. On #SpiritDay thousands of people wear purple to show LGBTQ youth they are not alone. For more information on Spirit Day, visit http://glaad.org/spiritday.
Once again this year, Harkins Middle School waged a very successful Gas Card Fundraiser for our school. We would like to congratulate Cheryl Seeley, Bryce Gullison and Amy Plaxton (our $100 gas card winners) Jimmy Dunn, our second-place winner ($500 in ESSO gas cards), and Rosalie Martin, the winner of our grand prize ($1000 in ESSO gas cards)! Congratulations also to Amelia Kingston, who received a $100 cash prize for selling the winning ticket to Rosalie!
We would also like to congratulate and thank our top sellers for this year:
