On Monday, community members representing various careers came to Harkins' "Careers on Wheels" event. Students learned about potential careers and were able to see and try many new things related to those careers. Thank you to all the community groups who gave their time on that day. During the month of May, students and staff from Harkins Middle School raised funds to donate to the Autism Society through an awaremess campaign called Bubbles for Autism. The school raised $200.00 in total. On May 29th, the students launched thousands of bubbles as a culminating activity to their month-long fundraiser.
Congratulations to the winner of the Problem of the Week #20, Alexis Matchett from 7T (click on the thumbnail, then click on view image details to see her solution). Alexis has won a $15 gift card for the movies. Thank you to all the students who participated in the Problem of the Week #20. This is the last winner of the Problem of the Week for the 2013-2014 school year. Problem of the Week wil resume in September.Thank you to everyone who participated throughout the year.
