7E1, 7E2, 7L - Test pour Unité 3            - 7E1: vendredi, le 5 juin            - 7E2: lundi, le 8 juin            - 7L: lundi, le 8 juin6A, 6B - Students have just completed their final project for a unit on the environment.  In a group of three, they created a display to represent the Three R's of recycling.  They also invidually wrote about what they are currently doing to reduce pollution and what they would like to do in the future to protect our environment.- Students will begin a short unit on summer camps.  They will invent their own camp and come up with the weekly schedule of events for their camp.  Lastly, they will create a brochure for their camp. 8A, 8B - Students have completed their final project for the unit on extreme sports.  They are currently presenting these for their classmates.  This presentation was different from the others as they were asked to present without their writing.  In order to make this possible, the presentation they made on smart notebook, powerpoint or prezi should include picture clues to help support their presentation.  Students were made aware of this proponent of the presentation well before they began working on it.  Homeroom (7E2) - Tuesday, June 2nd: Web Leader Applications are due.- Monday, June 8th: Chinese Culture Celebration in the afternoon.- Tuesday, June 9th: Drug Presentation in the afternoon.- Friday, June 12th: Red Team Grade 7 students go to Camp Sheldrake for the day.- Tuesday, June 16th: Red Team Boat Trips- Thursday, June 18th: Award Ceremony in the AM, Talent Show in the PM.- Friday, June 19th: Last Day of School (Half Day)

7E1, 7E2, 7L - Projet de Patrimoine (Heritage Fair Project) is due mercredi, le 15 avril 2015 for all classes.6A, 6B - Students in 6A will be presenting their robots in class this week.  Stay tuned for videos of their presentations! - I will decide whether or not 6B will get to contruct their robots this week. They are behind the other class in work. If their behaviour is good, they may still have time to build them. If not, they will be asked to either draw their robot or construct one at home.- Students will begin planning their own personal robot to do their bidding. The idea is that this robot will do the things they dislike doing (chores, homework, etc.). Once the planning period is done, students will need to bring in household items (kleenex boxes, paper towel rolls, ice cream containers, etc.) to contruct their robot.  8A, 8B - Students have begun a new unit on Extreme Sports. 7E1, 7E2, 7L - Brouillon de la Rapport de Recherche (Draft Research Report) due dates:       - 7E1: mardi, le 7 avril (jour 1)       - 7E2: mercredi, le 8 mars (jour 2)       - 7L: mercredi, le 8 mars (jour 2)- La Rapport de Recherche Finale (Final Research Report) due dates:       - 7E1, 7E2, 7L: vendredi, le 10 mars (jour 4)6A, 6B - Students in 6A will begin constructing their robot this week. They may start bringing in their materials.  Any incomplete robots must be finished at home. - I will decide whether or not 6B will get to contruct their robots this week.  They are behind the other class in work.  If their behaviour is good, they may still have time to build them.  If not, they will be asked to either draw their robot or construct one at home.- Students will begin planning their own personal robot to do their bidding. The idea is that this robot will do the things they dislike doing (chores, homework, etc.). 7E1, 7E2, 7L Everyone's favourite time of year is back: Heritage Fair Time! All three classes will begin working on their projects this week.  They will be bringing home an 8 page document for you to read as a family.  They need to return the slip with your signature by this tuesday (7E1) or wednesday (7E1/7L).  They must decide on a topic by this thursday (for 7E1/7E2) or friday (7L).  Please help them to make a wise and interesting choice.  Throughout the heritage project process, I will be taking the classes to the computer lab often.  It is vital that they have all their information at school each day.  They should be working on this project at home as well.  Please help to support them in this awesome opportunity to learn about Canadian history and culture! 6A, 6B- Students will continue their unit on robots. - Students will begin planning their own personal robot to do their bidding.  The idea is that this robot will do the things they dislike doing (chores, homework, etc.).  Once the planning period is done, students will nneed to bring in household items (kleenex boxes, paper towel rolls, ice cream containers, etc.) to contruct their robot.  8A, 8B- Students are presenting their final project for the "La Mode d'Autrefois" (The Styles of the Past) unit. - Once all projects have been presented, students will begin a new unit on Extreme Sports.  Homeroom (7E2)- HMS STEM Fair: Thursday, March 19th

7E1, 7E2, 7L- Signé Unité 3, Quiz 1- Continue avec la section "La Vie Quotidienne en l'ANB" 6A, 6B- Students will continue their unit on robots.  8A, 8B- Students are presenting their final project for the "La Mode d'Autrefois" (The Styles of the Past) unit.   Homeroom (7E2)- Red Team's Take a Break fundraiser is due in this week. Each ticket is $2 and a book of tickets is $10. All money collected will go towards Red Team events/field trips.- Red Team will be travelling to Carrefour Beausoleil on Wednesday, February 25th for a concert of the acadien artist "Caroline Savoie".  See more on her here: http://www.carolinesavoie.com/.- Red Team will have a mini science fair on Wednesday, February 25th from 1:00-2:00.  All families are invited to check out all the cool projects our scientists have put together!

7E1, 7E2, 7L- Signé Unité 3, Quiz 1- La Population de l'ANB activité (due lundi, le 9 février pour toutes les classes). 6A, 6B- Students will continue their unit on robots.  8A, 8B- Students are working on their final project for the "La Mode d'Autrefois" (The Styles of the Past) unit. They are creating a prezi presentation for a specific year between 1960-1999. They'll talk about the popular styles, music, movies and TV shows of that year. This will be presented in front of the class at the end of the month. - Due Dates for the final project:      - 8A: Monday, February 9th (Day 2)      - 8B: Tuesday, February 10th (Day 3)  Homeroom (7E2)- We will be skating this Friday, February 6th from 10:15 - 11:50- Family Literacy Night: mardi, le 10 février- Red Team's Take a Break fundraiser is due in the coming weeks.  Each ticket is $2 and a book of tickets is $10.  All money collected will go towards Red Team events/field trips.

7E1, 7E2, 7L - Get your evaluation of your "Le Guerre en Canada" project signed. - Review Questions #1-35      - 7E1: Monday, December 8th      - 7E2: Monday, December 8th      - 7L: Monday, December 8th - 2nd Quiz for Chapter 2      - 7E1: Tuesday, December 10th      - 7E2: Tuesday, December 9th      - 7L: Tuesday, December 9th   6A, 6B - We will continue to read "Éric Épic le Magnifique" in class this week. Students will be evaluated on their reading.   8A, 8B- We will continue our look at "La Mode d'Autrefois" (The Styles of the Past). - Students will complete a written assignment on the first four styles (Mod, Funky, Hippie and Disco)   Homeroom (7E2) - Skating had to be cancelled in Friday due to a power outage at the Civic Center.  Stay tuned for the rescheduled date. - The cafeteria will be hosting a Christmas Dinner on Wednesday, December 10th.  The cost is $6.50 and it is due on Tuesday. - The Red 7 classes will be having a potluck on Wednesday, December 17th.  Please send a note with your child specifying what they will contribute.  We still need the following items: fruit/veggie trays, cheese/meat trays, sandwiches, salads, pizza, desserts, plates, cups, napkins and utensils.
