  • Scholastic book orders for the month of May and June are due by Wednesday June 15th,any students who have received "Sudent of the Week" and still have their $5.00 coupon, this is the last book order were you can use your coupon. 
  • We would like to congratulate Celia Hale for being Student of the Month for May. Celia always has a big smile on her face and is very kind and helping to her peers and teachers. She works hard and is a great young lady, keep up the fantastic job!

Next week we will hold our last HMS 2016 SPIRIT WEEK! Schedule of days is as follows:

  1. Monday June 13th- Sunglasses and Pajama Pant Day
  2. Tuesday June 14th- Summer Hat Day
  3. Wednesday June 15th- Super Hero Day
  4. Thursday June 16th- Geek Chic Day
  5. Friday June 17th- Blue and White Day + Social Friday evening 6:00-8:30pm

  • Reading 10-15 minutes in French every evening ( Monday to Thursday), they will choose books from my classroom.

  • 1st Field trip is tomorrow from 10:15am-2:45pm, at Beaubear's Island and Interpretive Center. Students will need to dress according to weather, have appropriate footwear, insect repellant and a bagged lunch.

Awards Ceremony.

Everyone is invited to attend our end of the year Awards Ceremony, starting at 9am in the gym.

Ritchie's Wharf and Boat Trip.

We will be leaving the school at 10:15 am (walking) to Ritchie's Wharf. Half the team will be going on the Max Aiken for a river boat tour ( 1h-1.5h), they other group will be playing and having lunch. At 12:30 there will be a switch, the first group on the boat with have lunch and play, and the second will have their boat tour. The cost is $5.00 per child, and they may bring with them money to purchase "treat" at the ice cream store.

 

****However, please note the Team will be purchasing a "treat" for each child.

Breakfast Potluck

Tuesday morning from 8:45-10:00 we will have a team Breakfast Potluck, on the permission slip sent home on Tuesday May 31st, 2016. Please indicate what you will be bringing or sending with you child on this day.

Bowling

We will be leaving the school at 9:15am and returning at 12:15pm. The cost of this activitiy is $5.00, the team will cover the remaining cost of $6.00 and bussing. ****Please note we will be having lunch at Dairy Queen and all students must pre-order their lunch, refunds will not be given after the activity as taken place as we will need to pay for the meal which was ordered.  If your child can't eat Dairy Queen as they have an allergy, they will not require to pay the $5.00 and please send a lunch with them.

*******Students will receive dessert with their meal, they will NOT BE PERMITTES to purchase any "EXTRA" items on this day. Please don't send extra money.
