Homework Dec 3rd

NO HOMEWORK Math 7L -Test will be thursday. I will have an extra help tomorrow during student enhancement. I was sick yesterday and therefore their was no extra help. Science 7 -Notes below Science 8L -Students wrote the test today.

Homework for November 28th

Science 8 -We continued with projects -Students should be organizing their notes for the test early next week. Science 7L1 and 7L2 -Lab sheet due next class notes posted below. Math 7L1 and 7L2 -Homework is to finish questions on adding and subtracting mixed numbers. -Tomorrow in class we will work on a review sheet. Test will be Tuesday or wednesday depending on how the review in class goes..

Homework for November 27th

Science 8L -we had presentations today. -next class finish presentations and review booklet of questions. -test in two classes. Science 8E1 -We had some presentations today. We will finish next class. -Test Monday Science 7L2 -test passed back alomg with a lab to be signed -Lab form due next class Math 7L1 and 7L2 -We learned two ways to model subtracting fractions. Homework p 193 question 3 and 5. -notes posted below.

These can be found on page 492 of the student text and on the handout. -7l2 quiz Nov 27th -7l1 quiz November 28th Math 7L1 and 7L2 -Quiz on adding fraction tomorrow. Homework for November 20th

Math 7L -We learned how to use fraction tiles to model addition of fractions. Notes and homework posted below. Science 7L -I still have a couple students who need to write their unit test before I can mark and pass them back. Likely they will be passed back Monday. -Our new unit is mixtures and solutions Science 8 -Students must have research complete for next class. (At least two different sources and one picture). -Teacher rubric, group rubric, and self evaluation were given out today and explained. See attached below. -Students may create a poster, powerpoint, or smartnotebook presentation.

Homework November 19th

Math 7L -I was out this morning. Students started section 5.1 from the text. I will review this next class. Science 7L2 -We started our next unit on mixtures and solutions. We learned about des mélanges et des substance pures. -Students need to memorize the safety symbols in their textbook. Science 8 -Our next project as part of the pilot science program is for student to work together in small groups to develop a job advertisement to hire a cell in an organ. Students were given a handout that outlines the outcomes and requirements of the project. Students need to have the research (along with references) for their organ for next class. Students must demonstrate that they can work productively as a group, that they are knowledgeable about their organ and the system it belongs to, and that they can present their findings in a creative way. This project will be evaluated 3 ways. (Teacher, self and group). Due date next day 1.

Homework for November 13th

Extra help this week (day 4 lunch) is for both science 7 and science 8. Please bring your notes and text. Math 7L1 and 7L2 -Quiz on percent tomorrow. finding percent of a number, finding tip on a bill, finding tax, finding sale price, finding percent on a test.... -Side 1 of worksheet is due Monday. This is review of grade 6 material to prepaire us for our next unit. Science 7L1 and 7L2 -Students have a study guide for test 2. Not all of chapter 2 and 3 are on the test. Students should understand the water cycle and succession. Test is Monday. Science 8E1 and 8E2 -Lab observations and conclusion are due good copy next class. Proposal sheet must be submitted with it. Science 8L -Draft of observation is due next class

Homework November 13th

Math 7L1 -Notes below -Quiz on percent Friday -re-test passed back -Side 1 of worksheet is due Monday. (time will be given in class) Math 7L2 -Notes below -Quiz on percent Friday -re-test passed back to most students. -Side 1 of worksheet is due Monday. (time will be given in class) Science 7L1 -We went over the important parts of chapter 2 and 3 for the test. Test will be Monday. -A study guide was handed out today. Students should spend 15 minutes filling in information on the study guide. Science 8L and 8E2 -We were in the lab today doing our yeast lab. Students should have their observation complete for next class. Next class they will be putting together their formal lab write up. Students need to bring both papers to next class (proposal and observations).
