* Our home room (6A) will be collecting donations for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. It is a cause near and dear to our Harkins Family as well as many of our personal families. Please donate what change or other monetary values you can :)
6 Math: Some students still need to get their Ration quiz signed. Percent Assignment was due today and there will be a percent quiz on Tues Apr. 15th
6 Sci: Get Electricity Quiz signed and finish 'SPACE' title page for next class.
7 Sci: Have 'Earth's Crust' title page and definitions complete for next class.
8 Soc St: Heritage Fair project deadline has been extended to Thursday April 17th. BUT if you wish to be considered for the School Heritage Fair, you must show your complete (or nearly complete) project to me by the end of the day Monday April 14th.

6/7 Sci: Proposals were due Friday. You should be bringing ALL your materials with you to school now to work on your project during class. What should be complete to this point: proposal, title, purpose, hypothesis, materials and procedure.
8 SS: QUIZ tomorrow on Atlantic Canada Climate. Review your notes on Atlantic Climate as well as the 'Climate Trends' sheet (where you were to look at the 2012 data on climate trends from environment canada - http://ec.gc.ca/adsc-cmda/default.asp?lang=En&n=8C7AB86B-1) We will be reviewing Period 1 and writing Period 5. You may also ask questions at lunch.

Duotangs for 6/7science and 8 social studies classes should be organized and ready to be collected within the next one or two classes.
*** We have not yet received donated items for our Valentine's Day Basket. We are hoping to start selling tickets Tues Feb 4th. Proceeds will go towards Blue Team activities (in particular, an end-of-year activity). Please see attached memo for details :) ***
Grade 6 have begun discussing Science Fair Projects and all should have a topic idea picked by Monday (Grade 7 will start Monday). Please see attached information**
The Blue Team will be hosting the Valentine's Day Dance Friday, Feb 14th 6-8:30 pm. We are looking for Parent/Guardian Volunteers to help with supervision, canteen, etc. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! :)
Gr 6 Math overdue assignments! (were due Tues Jan 28). Detention Monday if they are still incomplete (all students were sent home with a slip to be signed from home if their assignment was still overdue)
