The HMS Drama Dance will take place Thursday, April 28th from 6-8:30pm. $5 at the door. Canteen. Photos. DJ Drew Hunter. FUN! Help support our club's trip to Drama Fest 2016!
On Monday, April 11th, the entire day at HMS will be dedicated to avoiding (reducing) technology and electricity use. This includes an effort to avoid computers, microwaves, video games and television, for example. During the day, we will not use SMARTBoards, digital tools, computers and other devices at school.
What will you do instead of using technology, especially in the evening?
Some suggestions include: playing outside, visiting a friend, playing cards, reading a book…be creative!
This is our last yearbook for Harkins Middle and we would like to celebrate by asking students to submit a piece of writing that tells us what Harkins means to you. It can be a few shorts sentences, a poem etc…be creative!
Entries can be submitted to Mrs Malley by April 8th. The top submission will be featured on our cover. We will try to include others on the back cover and inside the yearbook as well.
Don’t forget to pre order your yearbook as no extras are ordered. They are $20.
We have kids who want to play! We are looking for volleyball coaches for boys and girls JV/tier 2 teams. Please send a message or call 627-4088 if you can help us out!
Good evening, as this is the last official school year for Harkins Middle School we are giving the students the opportunity to purchase hoodies that will be signed by all students at grade level. This is something we have done in the past for only our grade 8 students. If you would like to have your child purchase one of these, you can have them sized this Wednesday here at school. All hoodies ordered will be pre-paid on that day.
The Red Team would like to congratulate Dale Shaffer, winner of the $50 Jungle Jims gift card and $50 Cineplex gift card. Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraiser!
