Lights Out! No Technology Day on Monday

Posted: April 5, 2016

On Monday, April 11th, the entire day at HMS will be dedicated to avoiding (reducing) technology and electricity use. This includes an effort to avoid computers, microwaves, video games and television, for example. During the day, we will not use SMARTBoards, digital tools, computers and other devices at school.

What will you do instead of using technology, especially in the evening?

Some suggestions include: playing outside, visiting a friend, playing cards, reading a book…be creative!

Accept this challenge and join us in exploring our dependence on technology and reflect upon the ways we consume electricity every day.  CHALLENGE ACCEPTED, HARKINS!
