PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9TH. ront Lawn Beautification – We have a group of teachers/parents/community members that will be coming together this Saturday morning to do the first phase in preparing the front of our school for some new shrubs and plants. What a great opportunity to build good relationships between community and school.

For our annual HMS Terry Fox fundraiser (coordinated by Mlle Miousse) some teachers have challenged their students to raise $$$ by do the following: - Color/style their teacher's hair any way they want to, on the 30th of Sept. - Have a bucket of water poured over their teachers' head (Orange Team)- Teacher will kiss a frog (Mlle Miousse)
- Buy tickets on a Hawaiian bear. We're walking on Thursday the 30th - The 30th anniversary of the Terry Fox Marathon.

There will be a Meet the Teacher Night this Tuesday from 6-7pm. Everyone should make their way to the gym to start the evening and later parents will be introduced to their child's teacher in their homeroom area. Refreshments to be served. We can't wait to meet you!
WEB Leaders welcomed the HMS 6th graders today with much energy and enthusiasm. Students learned about each other, the school and even themselves. During activities, lead by the green shirted grade 8 WEB leaders, grade 6ers picked up some valuable strategies on how to succeed in middle school. Tomorrow the entire student body will be in attendance for the official first day back. WELCOME TO HARKINS MIDDLE SCHOOL...WE'RE FRIENDLY HERE!
