Today Harkins Middle School held their annual Remembrance Day Ceremony. We had an excellent presentation from Crash Test Dummies drummer Mitch Dorge today. Mitch’s message is to be happy, be positive and work hard to do what you truly love. Harkins had great results at the Soccer Jamborees last week. Varsity girls came in 3rd for the district, as did the JV girls. Way to go girls!
Varsity boys came in second and JV boys came in first for the district. Great job boys!

Have you noticed? Harkins Middle School's Campbell Street entrance has had a facelift! Our school has recently received great news from the Canadian Association of Immersion Teachers. Our own Mlle Astrid Miousse was nominated for the “André Obadia Excellence Award”.
Yesterday, Mme Bourbonnais, Directrice générale de l’Association Canadienne des professeurs d’Immersion called to let us know that Mlle Miousse’s nomination was chosen and she will be officially receiving the award on October 15 at the National Conference for Immersion Teachers held at Delta Beausejour, Moncton.
