Math 8E1-This was our day without a class. Science 8-We took some notes today. Student will develop their skills at taking notes. Students will also work on organizing their notes during this biology unit.-A handout was passed out today. This is not for homework. We will continue to work on it next class. Please bring your text to our next class. Science 7E2-Water cycle assignment should be passed in.-Notes posted below.

Math 8E1-assignment N1 should be passed in. We will mark this together on Thursday as a review.-Today we started pythagorean theorem. Question 4 and 5 are for homework. Science 7E1-Students carbon cycle lab write up should now be passed in.-Students should be reviewing the water cycle. Science 8L-Today we started to learn about tissues, organs and systems. The handout is not for homework.

Math 8E1-Operations 3 sheet was passed in today.-Tomorrow students will review outcome N1. Science 7L and 7E2-Today we had our double class. We did a review of all material since the test.-Students have a worksheet on water and carbon cycles to complete for next class. In this activity, students will work on their graphing skills and will also learn to use the observations to make a conclusion. Science 7E2-Le diagramme worksheet was passed in today.-We reviewed the water and carbon cycle.-Students are to complete their graph and conclusion for next class. Remember to use the obsercations (both qualitative and quantatative) in your conclusion.

I have been sick the last two days. Today we spent some time reviewing and getting caught up. :) Science 7E2-Le diagrame worksheet should be passed in. Science 8E1-Review guide for test Tuesday was handed out today.-Some students still have their duotang of marked work not returned. Parents please prompt your child to show you their work. Science 8E2-Study guide given out for test Monday. Science 8L-Test is Tuesday.-Study guide will be passed out Monday. We will take the entire class to review together.

Science 7-Today we worked on creating graphs. We looked at how we can use them to predict trends and data points we did not measure.-Notes were given in a handout fashion to match the Smartboard lesson.-Worksheet assignment was given. We will continue this next class. Math 8E1-We reviewed our perfect squares and square roots.-We decomposed numbers into prime factors to solve square root questions.-Students learnt how to use their calculator to solve square root questions.

Math 8E1-Today we learnt about square roots and perfect squares. We looked at some models. We also looked at how breaking a number into its prime factors can help us to figure out the square root of the number. -Notes are posted below.-I posted some weblinks yesterday that are good videos for review.-NO HOMEWORK Science 8-We went over our conclusions for our yeast lab today.-We learnt about mitosis. Students should complete their notes on the handout for next class. Science 7 -We learnt about primary and secondary succession today. Notes are posted below.-Homework is to read page 54 and 55 of the student text.-Worksheet should be completed if it was not finished in class. Students are to identify if the ecosystem in the three pictures are new, medium or advanced ecosystems.

Science 8E2-Lab report due for yeast lab Math 8E1-no homework Science 7-MSA report is due by Friday as it counts for the first report card. Please pass it in as soon as you are done.-Test and project marks sent home to be signed.

Red team will be going to a cultural event Monday at Carrefour Beausoleil. The team is paying the cost of this trip. We will be leaving the school at 9:30 and returning around 11:15. The form signed at the begining of the year is used for this field trip instead of a permission slip. Math 8E1-We spent today working on placing coordinates on a diagram. The first two are due Monday and the third is due Tuesday. This activity will help student to complete the second and third question on their assignment sheet. Science 7-We wrote our test today. They will be passed back after everyone writes. I will have them marked for Monday so if your child wants to know their mark they just need to come see me during student enhancement.
