Welcome to a new school year! Looking forward to meeting this year's Orange Team.
Could you please check around your homes to see if any school library books and/or classroom library books are hiding there? It is very expensive to maintain a library of popular novels for students to read. Most of those from my classroom are my own personal purchases. I would very much appreciate it if they could be returned. Thank you and have a great summer!

Students and Parents;        I am not assigning Reading Logs during the break but do encourage students to continue reading over that time period. The usual homework assignment will continue when we return in January-> students are to read at least 20 minutes each night, and record a Reading Response in their Reading Log Duotang. They have to respond once over the weekend. It is very important that students do read at home. Each is assigned an A.R. goal which is worth 10% of their mark. There should be no "late assignments" for this as they are to be kept up to date!         Most nights, this will be all students will have for homework. On occasion, they may have to finish an assignment from classtime.              Have a safe and Happy Holiday and I look forward to seeing you in the new year!                                                                                           Mrs. C.

Students are required to read from a novel for at least 20 minutes each day and write a Reading Log entry of 2 or 3 sentences each night. One entry over the weekend is enough.
