Harkins Middle School Christmas Dance will be Friday Dec. 9th, 2011 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm. Colby Jardine will be the DJ. Green Team is HO-HO-hosting and the cost is $5 to get in. Pictures and Pizza will be $1 each.

Basketball is in full swing at HMS with girls varsity, junior varsity, bantam A, bantam B and house league. Boys junior varsity and varsity teams are also practicing and playing b-ball.
Some girls also took on Ms O'Keefe, Ms Barrieau and the lady "ol'timers" last Sunday evening in an exhibition game. The final score and winning team is negociable, but it is certain that everyone had a good time!
Author and professional storyteller Peter Clark visited Harkins Middle School to recount some epic tales about his experiences on the Miramichi and beyond. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our trip to Fredericton this weekend is cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience. We wil partner with Dr Losier in the Spring and try to go and see Wizard of Oz.

The HMS drama club is planning a day trip to the Playhouse in Fredericton on Saturday, December 3rd to see TNB's The Gifts of the Magi. Tickets and busing will be $25 and students should bring a bagged lunch and money for supper at the Regent Mall. Last year we also had enough time to check out the Boyce Farmers Market in the morning before the show. We will likely leave at 10am and return by 8pm. More details to follow.

Drama, Today's Beauty Trends, Geocaching, Science Olympics, Board games/Crib, Zumba, Claymation, Basketball, Art, Scrapbooking, Photo Editing, Hockey, Wii and Guitar.

Harkins Middle School will hold their annual Remembrance Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 8th at 9am. All students will be present and parents are also welcome to join us in the gymnasium.
