Purple Team and Homeroom 6E1 Students began today their grade 6 provincial assessment. This assessment has four parts to into; Reading Comprehension in English, Math, Science and Reading Comprehension in French. Today students completed the Reading Comprehension in English; Monday they will write Math, Tuesday Science and Wednesday Reading Comprehension in French. Last Scholastic book orders for the year are due June 4th, 2015. ****Students who received coupons for being Student of Week should be using their coupon so they don't lose it. We would like to congratulate Cole Johnson for being Student of the Month for April! Way to go Cole you are a fantastic role modeol for you peers :-)Français 6E1 et 6E2 We have begun work on a novel study 6E1 ( Le Caméléon), 6E2 ( Les Pirates). I will be reading the novel to the students in class and there will be assigned vocabulary and reading comprehension questions they will work on in class and at home for each chapter. At the end of the book, there will be a quiz based on classroom discussion and questions answered. Also, students will need to complete mini projects ( due Monday June 8th). So in lieu of reading each night, they should be working on their novel study questions or mini projects. Get Final Novel Study Project signed and returned to Ms. Richardson ASAP. 6E1: Complete vocabulary and questions from Chapter 1 Le Caméléon pour mardi le 26 mai, 2015. 6E2:  Complete vocabulary and questions from Chapter 1 Les Pirates pour mardi le 26 mai, 2015. 6E2 & 6E1: Faire signer ( Sign) les 2 compréhension de lecture ( reading comprehension) " Will Smith" et " La fête des mères".Students have received their last booklet " Livret Les Vacances" today, they are to work on it 10-15 minutes each night or during Student Enhancement. Finished booklets are due Thursday June 4th, 2015. Français 6LStudents have chosen a partner and are working on creating 1 crossword puzzle with a minimum of 10 clues for the book they have chosen to read together. Students will be working on this in class and in lieu of reading each night, they should also be working on there mini project. Other mini projects will be assigned for the book they have chosen.  Faire signer ( Sign) la compréhension de lecture " Je me rappelle".Students have received their last booklet " Livret Les Vacances" today, they are to work on it 10-15 minutes each night or during Student Enhancement. Harkins Middle JV Boys Volleyball ·      JV Boys Volleyball Jamboree will be Saturday May 9th here at HMS. ***Schedule was given out last night***HMS will be hosting the JV Boys Volleyball Saturday morning May 9th 2015 at our school. We will be beginning at 8:45 (I will be at the school by 8:30).
