- Heritage Fair presentations are almost complete.  Congratulations to all the students who worked so hard and have demonstrated such enthusiasm for their topics.  I have been very impressed by the quality of the projects this year.

- 7E1 & 7E2 - Collage on besoins/désirs will be due on Wednesday, May 11th.

- 7L - Collage on besoins/désirs will be due on Thursday, May 12th.

Heritage Fair presentations have started in 7E1 and 7L and I have been very impressed by the projects so far.  7E2 will begin presenting their projects tomorrow.  Keep an eye out for photos of students with their projects.

All grade 8 classes have begun presenting their Heritage Fair projects and I am impressed by the quality of the projects and the enthusiasm students have shown for their chosen subjects.  I am learning a lot this week!  I am sharing photos from 8E2, and will be posting photos from other classes in the coming days.

Class Heritage Fairs start next week.  The date for each class' fair are listed below.  On the day of the fair, all students will set up and present their project to the teacher and peers as we circulate around the class.  Those who are not prepared and have not made arrangements in advance will lose marks for late projects.  Students who are not ready for the class fair will have to present their project on their own at a later date. 

7E1 - Monday, April 25th

7E2 - Thursday, April 28th

7L - Tuesday, April 26th.

- Work on Heritage Fair projects is ongoing this week.  The project is due on April 25th.  The project outline is available in PDF format in the documents section of my teacher page. Please bring all materials to class, including poster boards, photos, construction paper, glue, scissors, etc.  Students should be nearing the end of the research stage and starting to correct text and compile information on their boards.   The common room continues to be available to students during Student Enhancement.

- All projects should be complete and submitted, however some students asked for extensions and have been given permission to email their projects over the break.  This is because they were not able to complete the assignment on time.  It was not my intention to assign homework during the break.

- Students are bringing home tickets for our "Take a Break" fundraiser.  Tickets are $1 each and are for a chance to win a $50 Jungle Jim's giftcard and a $50 Cineplex giftcard.  Money raised from ticket sales will be used to help pay for the busses for our year-end field trips.  Thanks for your support!

- Skating on Friday, March 4th is CANCELLED.  This was a team decision due to the recent storm days we have missed and numerous presentations and projects that need to be presented.
