Problem of the Week #11

Posted: January 27, 2014

A trip across the river by the Westfield Ferryboat is full if there are either 10 cars on board, or 6 trucks (it never carries cars and trucks at the same time). One day, the ferryboat made five trips, and was full on each trip. If it carried a total of 42 vehicles across the river, how many cars were transported? All solutions must be submitted by noon time on Friday, January 31.
