The Harkins Middle School varsity girls won the bronze medal in Hillsborough this weekend in Division 4 of provincial championships. They lost their first game 39 to 35 to the home team Caledonia. Molly Hutchison was the Hustler of the Game and Emily Drisdelle was awarded Player of the Game. In their second game, they downed St. Stephen 71 to 15. Katelyn Hogan was the Hustler of the Game and Lauren Simmons was the Player of the Game. In their third game, they met Devon Middle School. They won the game 42 to 6. Hustler of Game was awarded to Katie Avery and the Player of the Game was Megan Copp. In the bronze medal game they played Campobello Island Consolidated School. The bronze medal game was a fast-paced, exciting game with the score tied most of the game. Harkins Middle School pulled ahead in the last period to win 41 to 33. Alexis Matchett was awarded Hustler of the Game and Emily Drisdelle was awarded Tournament Most Valuable Player for Harkins.
