Once again this summer a group of local basketball coaches will hold their annual summer camp at Miramichi Valley High School.  This one-week camp will focus on developing sound fundamentals through individual instruction and competitions, as well as team-oriented activities.  The instructors are all teachers in the Miramichi area and bring a wealth of coaching and teaching experience to this summer camp.  There will be one session offered each day:1) 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM - Designated for players currently in grades K-5                                       2) 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Designated for

Students will be writing the district grade 7 math and provincial grade 8 math assessments on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings this week, during periods 1 and 2. Grade 6 field test items will take place on Thursday, June 5th.  All students will remain in their homerooms to write. Students should be prepared with a calculator, pencils and a book with them on those mornings.

Here's the schedule for HMSTrack & Field this week:• Running after school: Tuesday 3-3:45.  We will be going on the road, so make sure you have brought in a permission slip!• Track & Field: Wednesday from 5-6pm.  Please intend to go to this practice as we have skilled coaches volunteering their time.• There will be a Hershey Meet in Miramichi on June 15th.  See the attached document for details.

All students are welcome to attend track practice at the JMH this Wednesday from 5-6pm.  There will also be an after school run at Harkins on Thursday from 3-3:45pm with Ms Perry.Also remember (grade 6 students): The Run Jump Throw program is held Monday evenings from 6-7pm at the JMH track.  Next week is the last week!

JMH Class of 2014 are hosting a Middle School dance for students in grade 6-8. All proceeds from the dance will be going towards Safe Grad activities. Come out and dance to the tunes of DJ Gord Revelle from Moncton. Sure to be a great time.  Reminder all school rules are in effect and the consequences of misbehaving will be the same as if it was your own school dance.  Tickets will be sold at the door. Cost is $5.  Please bring you school ID.
