Harkins Lady Blues played three tense games on Wednesday and came away with a third place medal at the District Jamboree at Dr. Losier Middle School.  After losing to Nelson with an upsetting 1-0 score, Harkins came back and beat both Blackville and EWG to make it to medal standings.  Scoring for Harkins was Michaela McGrath, Sydney MacDonald and Hayley Hallihan.  Goalie Lindsay Gallant boasted a shut-out in the Rexton game.  Miss Richardson and Miss Barrieau were aptly pleased with the fairplay and dedication this team has shown this year.  On behalf of both coaches, Richardson had this to say about the team, "The girls played their best games of the season at the Jamboree and we are very proud of their hard work.  Way to go Harkins!"  Please see the photo gallery associated with this news post.  http://hms.nbed.nb.ca/gallery/girls-varsity-soccer-jamboree-09
