On Thursday, November 19th all students are asked to wear a pink shirt of any kind.
This activity is to show our support by taking a stand against bullying. This is an international activity with schools and business in countries all around the world participating.
Bobby Cooper came up with the idea of an International Stand up to Bullying Day to help eliminate bullying, but an event that happened in Nova Scotia in 2007 started the pink shirt campaign.
International Stand Up To Bullying is celebrated on November 20th, but because we do not have school on this day, we have picked November 19th to wear our pink shirts. Please see the link to this inspiring CBC story: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia/story/2007/09/18/pink-tshirts-stude...
See you in Pink on Thursday!
