A Message From Mr A Hayward:
"On Friday, April 23rd, Miramichi Rural School will be hosting the grand opening of its observatory! The night will include research displays from students, robot simulators of the mars rovers, ribbon cutting ceremony, and prizes for winners of the “Name the Observatory Contest” and “Logo Design Contest”. There will also be plenty of posters, stickers, and tattoos to give away.
Weather permitting, students from Miramichi Rural will lead participants on an outdoor tour of the night sky with our 3 high powered Dobsonian telescopes, 6 Skymaster Personal Planetariums, 10 Skymaster Binoculars, and our computerized 11inch Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. If cloudy skies prevail we have plenty of fun activities planned for indoors."
This is a great opportunity for our budding astronomers! See you at Miramichi Rural from 7:45 to 9:30pm!
