Hi everyone, I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend. Here are some things that are happening this week. Oct. 14 - Student vote (We will be holding our own student voting for the federal election right here in the common room.)Oct. 15- Spirit day for LGTBQ (Please don't forget to wear Purple.) Homework for the week: - Read nightly20-30 minutes (Don't forget to log the page you started at and page that you read last. Also don't forgot to use those sticky notes to mark the sparks you are finding in your book. Examples of sparks:  1) if something you wonderd about in the book was answered 2) if you read a part that makes you question something 3) if you make a deep connection with something that is happening 4) if you find a great word that helps you understand the author's intention. 5) if you learned something new about a character. **** Last weeks article corrections need to be handed in tomorrow at the latest. **** *** Sparks collected since the beginning of the year need to be brought to class tomorrow as well. ***- Article of the week is due on Friday. (Please read the questions carefully and make sure you understand what they are asking. Some questions are asking for more than one piece of information.
