  • Students have all their notes for this unit, they should be reading it over 2-3 times a week. There will be activities and questions relating to this unit in the next two weeks done in class instead of a quiz. However, it's very important students understand and are still looking over their notes to be able to complete these smaller assignments.
  • Students should be looking at The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms ( see weblinks) to read up on it.
  • Students have also been asked to discuss with parents and family members the following questions : 1. What is a protest? 2. Why would people protest? 3. What is the difference between a peaceful protest and one which is not deemed peaceful. ***Students have also been asked to research different protests which have been held in our history.
