  • Health class: Students should be reviewing notes and activity sheets 1-2 per week as there will be a quiz at the end of the unit.
  • We would like to congratulate Brody Hallihan for being Student of the Month for December. Brody is a very dedicated student working to his full potential and always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow peers. Way to go Brody!
  • We would like to congratulatefor Kayla Matchett and Keghan Gallant for being Students of the Week for January18th-22th, 2016. Great work last week :-)

Français (French) 6E1, 6E2

  • Last Friday I was attending training in completing french running records for our middle school students. We are now being asked to complete this reading evaluation for each of our students, This is the exact same process as in elementary, we are now going to continue it through grade 6, 7 and 8. Each student after being evaluated will receive their reading level, they will choose books from the classroom at their level and they will be required to read 10- 15 minutes each night. The provincial government has identified what level each grade should be at by the end of the year in June ( by program late and early immersion). Grade 6 Early Immersion must be at level S (level 28) by the end of June.
  • We will be beginning a novel study early this week and we will also be starting some grammaire and sentence structure activities ( please see weblinks for practice links).

Français (French) 6L (late)

Science Humaines (Social Studies) 6E1, 6E2, 6L.

  • 6L- Finir (finish) p.18 pour vendredi le 22 janvier, 2016. Student have worked on this activitiy sheet for 1 1/2 periods in class and it must be completed by Friday. Students should also be working on their draft of p. 17 ( They need to choose 4 out of the 7 sections of the Canadien Charter of Rights and Freedoms) and create posters for each one. 
  • 6E1 & 6E2: Students are presenting their group/ individual projects this week, presentations have started today.
