Dress code in effect, $5.Pictures: Students received on Monday their picture envelop in which you may order school pictures or ask for retakes. All envelops must be returned by Wednesday September 30th. If you would like retakes, please fill in the information part and on the envelop indicate "RETAKE".Bake Sale: Tuesday September 29th (during Nutrition Break). Purple Team will be having a bake sale to help raise money for our Harkins Middle School Terry Fox Walk. Please send donation of baked goods on Monday September 28th or the morning of Tuesday September 29th ( No peanuts or nuts). Students will then have an opportunity to purchase items for their Nutrition Break.Food Bank donations: HMS school will be particiapting in the 95.9 (radio station) campaign in picking up food for our local food bank. Here is some information:Miramichi Food Bank Facts:- spends $10,000/month to keep the shelves stocked- purchases 200 loaves of bread a month- purchases 160 1L milk - 3x a month- purchases 450-500 lbs of ground beef a month- serves 352-400+ families a month One person/month would receive:8 potatoes1 can vegetables1 carton of milk1 bag of spaghetti, macaroni or 3 boxes of KD1 can of tomato soup of 1 can or tomatoes1 can of fruit2 loaves of bread1/4 package of margarine ( 1 cup)1 lb ground beef1 can of tuna, ham or turkey2 cans of soup1 peanut butter or jam1 jello12 bags of tea1 sleeve of crackers choice of 3 extras: pickles, pancake mix, etc.*** Students can bring in any type of donations to their homeroom teacher until Friday October 2nd. On Friday October 2nd, students from HMS will be walking down to the radio station 95.9 and delivering all our donations.  Gas Fundraiser: All tickets sold or unsold must be returned by Monday September 28th, 2015. Scholastic book orders for September are now ready. Students can pick there books flyers in my classroom ( Ms. Richardson) and return their order form by September 29th. Parents you may now pay online for orders please visit the following webpage for more details. Visit parentpay.scholastic.ca to complete the payment for their Reading Club order, then submit their order form to their child's teacher.Teachers place class orders as usual and when they're ready to submit, the parent payments are already there waiting to be applied.Français (French) 6E1, 6E2, 6L:6E, 6E1, 6L- Mots croisées - Faire signer6E1,6E2, 6L Livret " La rentrée" due le 16 octobre 2015. Students will be receiving their first activity booklet for this year ( these booklets are to help with grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension in a fun away. Every activity will be explained to the students, if they get to an activity and can't remember what is being asked or don't understand, please have them see me for further explaination. Students have 1 month to complete this assignment, they are not to finish the booklet in 1 day, each day/night they should be working on it for 10-15 minutes. They have opportunities in class when all other work is finished or during Student Enhancement to work on their booklet.  Science Humaines (Social Studies) 6E1, 6E2, 6L:6L- Get book cover. 6E1 Finir les 15 questions du travail " Mon livre" pour la prochaine classe.
