November book orders for Scholastic has gone home today! They are to be returned with payment, cash, cheque or e-transfer ( please contact me first for this method) by Monday November 17th, 2014. Skating will begin in November for the students of HMS, please make sure to check to see if your child has skates which are appropriate size for them and helmet. Also, if your child is unable to tie their own skates, please practice at home with them, as we will have 62 students on the ice with only 2 teachers able to help out with tying skates. We do have extra skates and helmets here at school, if your child needs to borrow a pair not a problem at all, they just have to check in the office a few days before. Our first skating trip will be Friday, November 14 (now a Day 3): Purple (load bus at 8:35 - 2 trips, and return at 9:55-10:00 - 2 trips)****Please note the date change, this is due to our snow day! If your child is not skating, we will require a written note indicating why, please send this note a few days before so we can make arrangements at school for those not attending. Thank you.
