On Thursday, October 16th we are hoping that all staff and students will join us in wearing purple on thursday to support LGBTQ youth (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning). Spirit day was started in 2010 as a day to take a stand against bullying and show support for LGBTQ youth, as well as to remember those who have been killed or who have taken their own lives as a result of the discrimination and harassment they have experienced due to their sexual identity.
