Hi Amy,   I called the Residence Inn today and spoke to our parent that got the initial quote.  I have a call in to the hotel manager to clarify this misunderstanding and the clerk at the hotel suggested that the rooms still be booked at the $149 rate to reserve them, have them tagged by the reservation clerk as rooms for the Bessborough Basketball Tournament, and then when I speak to the manager on Monday, adjustments can be made to the reservation.   The explanation that I received was that as the hotel fills, the rates gradually increase.  There are two hockey tournaments in town next week, so rooms are starting to fill.  Where we were quoted and guaranteed a rate of $129, I will do everything I can to make sure that your players/parents get that rate.    Hopefully this helps, Nick Mattatall Grade 5,7 & 8 Bessborough School
